Eastgate Taco Bell Lateral Rehabilitation

PipeMedic was subcontracted by Citycare Water to provide an immediate repair on a lateral prior to the Christchurch Taco Bell opening. New surfaces had been reinstated prior to discovering the damaged sewer lateral so a No-Dig solution was required for a cost and time effective repair.
The damage in the lateral was extensive with cracking throughout and multiple root intrusions. The primary damage was located at the lateral to mainline junction connection where large holes were present and silt and stones were starting to drop into the mainline. PipeMedic removed the roots from the lateral and installed a continuous CIPP liner from the inspection point and landed right before the mainline. We then used a mainline robot to mill the broken pieces from the mainline and install a junction repair to seal the new CIPP liner to the mainline. We were able to successfully complete the installation and Taco Bell was able to open on time with a working sewer line!
